How do I get my printer online with Windows 10?

  • Messages such as ‘Offline’ or ‘Printer not responding’ appear if your computer is unable to communicate to your printer for this reason disconnect the connection to the printer and remove its power cord. Plug in the power cord after awhile, turn the printer on and re-establish the connection. If the issue persists, try the following possible solutions:
  • Select test print in the HP Print and Scan Doctor window.
  • Go to Devices and Printers and set your printer as the default Printer. Open the print queue of your printer and uncheck Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline.
  • Go to Printer Properties under Devices and Printers and select the correct port type in the Ports tab.
  • Update your printer firmware.
  • Go to the Network or Networking tab. Click Manual IP, enter your printer IP address and then click Apply. Go to Printer Properties. Add a new Standard TCP/IP Port in the Ports tab and attempt printing using this port.
  • Go to devices and Printers, and remove the multiple printer queues listed for your printer. Now, add your printer back to the list and attempt printing using the new Standard TCP/IP Port.
  • Then Disconnect from any guest or host network is connected
  • Change the connection type used to establish communication with your 123hp printer.
  • Install a new driver for your 123hp printer.
  • Go to the Ports tab, select the port being used, and click Configure Port Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled. Re-enable SNMP if the problem persists.
  • Turn off the IPv6 setting in the Advanced network settings on your printer control panel, or alternatively, enter your printer IP address in the search box of your internet browser and then hit search to click on Enable IPv4 only in the Network or Networking tab.
  • Connect to your printer from another computer and try printing.
